The survey was conducted to our close friends at school, mainly in our group, using a google form, where we introduced our closed questions so that we could later collect the data and graph the results and analyze them. The answers we obtained from each of the participants were quantified in points, added later and through the following scale, the respondents were notified of their approximate ecological footprint:
15O points- Less than 4 hectares
150-350- From 4 to 6 hectares
350-550 From 6 to 8 hectares
550-750 8-10 hectares
More than 750 Greater than 10 hectares
The ecological footprint can be measured in different ways, this will depend on the data and scales considered for its measurement. We can calculate our own ecological footprint by our consumes and our wastes, and the area that we need to produce the things that we daily need. Of the results obtained in general, the students surveyed on average according to our scale added 420 points, which indicates that on average of the 64 students who carried out the activity, each consumes 6 to 8 hectares as an estimate. On land there are only 2.1 hectares available per person. The average in the United Kingdom and Canada is 6 hectares, in Austria, 5, 3 in Nicaragua, in Sri Lanka 1.
