Rapidly decomposing materials

  • Fresh leaves

  • Poultry manure

  • Young weeds

  • Meat and fish

Slow decomposition materials

  • Remains of fruits and vegetables

  • Straw and old hay

  • Plantant remains

  • Straw manures (horses, cows, donkeys)

  • Old flowers and pot plants

  • Clearing of young hedges

  • Perennial weeds

  • Beds of rabbits and other herbivorous animals

Very slow decomposition materials

  • Hard hedges clearing

  • Pruned branches

  • Sawdust and untreated wood chips

  • Eggshells

  • Nutshells
